Traffic is King, but this comes FIRST
The Best Way?
The best way to ensure your success is to build automated traffic sources to send you visitors day and night.
Before we begin
Keyword research is really the first step in getting traffic to your website.
Why?
Because you have to target these keywords if you are to have any hope of actually generating traffic for them. Which means you need to put some thought into the keywords you’re targeting.
A couple things to keep in mind when doing keyword research:
- Are the keywords you’re interested in attainable? You’ll have to analyze the competition and see what’s out there for this.
- Will the keywords you’re targeting bring buyers? Certain keywords are good for generating a lot of visitors who don’t buy anything. What you want is buyers!
- Another thing to think about is affiliates. Nothing brings more buyers like an army of affiliates. This means that some of your traffic focus should be on getting affiliates to your site.
Although this is an essential step, doing it all by hand can take a very long time. And hiring an expert is very expensive. Which is why practically none of your competitors will do this! If you’re smart you will use website traffic software to help you with this process. This way you get this critical step done fast and done well.
OK, now we can talk about traffic…
Only after doing your keyword research correctly can you start targeting these keywords to get you traffic.
Here are a couple of clever ways to do this…
- Something you may not have ever considered is Surveys
- “Help” Websites
- Video
Surveys
The truth is that people really enjoy taking surveys and finding out what other people think. And if you make it interesting, other people will post your survey on their website. And when they put your survey on their site, they will include a link back to your website. This allows you to get free website traffic from other people’s sites! Using just this one extra idea will put you ahead of your competition . . . who think surveys are for gathering information! Just make the question interesting enough that people will want to share it with their own visitors.
“Traffic Traps”
These sites, like answers.yahoo.com are filled with people asking and answering questions for each other. Once again, the main reason for this site is not the reason you’re interested. You are going to generate traffic, leads and sales from them. One thing you can do is to visit sites like Craigslist and Yahoo! Answers and manually extract contact info to contact other users. So, if you’re smart, you’ll use website traffic software to do it all for you. These tools put the whole thing on auto-pilot and just deliver the leads to you each day.
Video Websites
Video is huge and sites like YouTube and Vimeo are extremely popular. These sites generate massive traffic and people watch over 2 billion videos a day on YouTube alone . If used properly, video sites can get you more website traffic than you know what to do with.
And don’t worry if you don’t have any idea of how to make a video. You can even take a webpage or article that you’ve written. And use free screen capture software to record yourself reading it. I’ve even seen software that will automatically convert an article to a video!
The Bottom Line…
It’s not that hard to get traffic to your websites. Use your noodle and come up with things other people aren’t doing. You can even use software to automate most of what we’ve talked about.
Get started right away:
- Do your keyword research
- Then create some surveys born to go viral
- Take advantage of the “help” sites
- Capitalize on video!
